Der Font „CMOD Subotron“ wurde im Herbst 2009 für SUBOTRON, die Wiener Institution für elektronische Spielkultur anlässlich des 5-jährigen Bestehens entworfen. Grundlage bildet das kleinste gemeinsame Element aller digitalen Spiele: das Pixel. Darauf aufbauend gestaltete Paul Busk den Font „CMOD Subotron“, eine Pixel-Schrift, ein vielseitiger Begleiter in jedem Level! Mit dem Schnitt Subotron Fontlevel werden nicht nur west- sondern auch osteuropäische Sprachen sowie Türkisch, Walisisch und Maltesisch abgedeckt. Das Bonuslevel enthält –wie der Name verspricht – umfangreiches Bonusmaterial in Form von Symbolen, die fest in der Spielkultur verankert sind. So lassen sich mit der Tastatur alte Welten neu kreieren oder intergalaktische Kriege nachbauen.

CMOD Subotron Fontlevel und Bonuslevel sind als OpenType für Mac und PC kompatibel und kostenlos zum Download verfügbar.

The font “CMOD Subotron” was created in fall 2009 for SUBOTRON, the viennese institution for electronic Game Culture in celebration of the 5th anniversary. The basis is the smallest common element of digital games : the pixel. Building on the pixel, Paul Busk created the font “CMOD Subotron”, a pixel-font which is a versatile companion in every level! The Font Level includes not only western but also east-european languages as well as Turkish, Welsh and Maltese. The Bonuslevel includes – as the name promises – a wide range of bonus material in the form of symbols rooted in game culture. The keyboard becomes a tool to recreate old worlds or intergalactic wars.

CMOD Subotron Fontlevel and Bonuslevel are compatible to Mac and PC as OpenType and ready to download for free!
